Paper cutting is sneaky.

You think it’s charmingly analogue & simple, but then bam! just like that, it’s articulating excruciatingly complex ideas in a way that can be understood by a 5 year old!

Paper is the perfect travel companion.

When my feet are tired from exploring, I’ll sit down with a collection of tourist brochures & food wrappers. I love the surprise of finding a snippet of typography or colour swatch to incorporate into a travel illustration.

It’s such a surprising way to document the journey. You can’t plan ahead.

Paper is friendly.

It’s not pretentious or intimidating.

It’s playful & familiar & wonky.
